Typically what happens is the bride and the groom are planning their perfect wedding. We’d like to get married in May, we’d like to get married in December. Everybody has a reason why they’re picking a date and coming into this area for a wedding. Weather is a very real concern here in the Smoky Mountains.
What are we going to do? It looks like it’s going to rain.
I was scheduled to do an outdoor wedding this past weekend and about an hour before the ceremony, I get frantic text messages from the couple that it looks like it was going to rain. What are we going to do? It looks like it’s going to rain. All I can say is, you know, we need a plan B and I give them some options.
I watch people that get married in one location and have the reception in another location in this town. That’s treacherous, that’s perilous your guest could be trickling in for the next 3 hours.
A lot of couples want to go to Cade’s Cove for their wedding ceremony, but they haven’t even been to Cade’s Cove. a close friend has told them to, have their wedding in Cade’s Cove. However, what the couple doesn’t know is that they are now trapped in an eleven-mile-oneway scenic traffic loop with no restroom facilities.
There are other options that I would gladly suggest.
There are certain times of the year when brides and grooms have to be very thoughtful. If you planning a November, December, January, or even February wedding and you’re considering holding your wedding or reception in a cabin the weather can get really ugly during those months.
The BIG Question is, how are we all going to get up there?
I would be happy to offer some advice that may help make the wedding planning more pleasant. I’m going to suggest a change, I will tell them why I think they would be happier and then give them a chance to effect a change.
